Serving Your Community

Active Faith Community Services is dedicated to supporting individuals in need within the South Lyon Community School District, an 83-square-mile area including parts of six municipalities across Oakland, Livingston, and Washtenaw Counties. We serve low-income individuals and families, including military veterans, seniors, children, and those facing physical or mental challenges.

Our Impact in 2024

  • 5,693 visits to the food pantry
  • 130 new households served
  • 286,491 pounds of food distributed
  • 5,000+ volunteer hours contributed

With the rising cost of living, more families are turning to us for support. Each month, we assist nearly 700 individuals, including providing food to 220 children. We also:

  • Supplied over 100 children with backpacks and school supplies
  • Provided warm winter coats to more than 100 families
  • Distributed toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products
  • Organized holiday gift-giving for children in food pantry families
  • Offered case management and connections to vital resources to help break the cycle of poverty
  • Offering low cost mental health counseling for pantry clients

As demand grows, so does our commitment to ensuring that every neighbor in need has access to food, clothing, and essential support services to keep our community healthy, independent and safe.
