FOOD

DROP OFF TIMES

Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
We partner with Food Gatherers in Ann Arbor as well as the Meijer Simply Give Program. These contributions are vital to the success of our mission.  ITEMS LEFT OUTSIDE AFTER HOURS WILL BE DISCARDED, as we have to follow food safety guidelines.  There are also food collection bins at Busch's, Lockwood of Lyon, several churches in the area and South Lyon Orthodontics if you need to drop off food outside of our regular hours.  We go and collect the food in these bins weekly.

"THE BIRTHDAY BUNDLE"

happybirthdayThe Birthday Bundle

Every child deserves a special birthday celebration, even in challenging times.  Through our Birthday Bundle program, we aim to bring joy to children from families in need served by our food pantry.

Our goal is to supply festive essentials like themed plates, napkins, tablecloths, banners, decorations, and balloons, cake mix and frosting of their choosing – plus a meaningful gift (or gifts) valued up to $50, tailored to each child’s wishes.

How You Can Help

You can make a child’s birthday extra special in one of two ways:

  1. Sponsor a Child: Donate cash or gift cards to Target, Meijer, Walmart, or Amazon so we can purchase the gifts from the child’s wish list.
  2. Shop for a Child: Receive a child’s wish list (we’ll provide only the age, gender, and requested items for confidentiality). Bring the items to us and we will wrap the gifts and package everything up for the family to take home.

Your kindness will help us create a memorable celebration for each child, because we believe:

“A birthday in need deserves a birthday blessing indeed.”

Thank you for helping us make birthdays brighter for the children in our community!

Common Questions

Should I notify Active Faith first?
Please do! We have a form called the Special Event Program Disclosure that we can email to you. Also, we'd like to help or suggest things that others have successfully done holding Food Drives. We like to be prepared to receive your items when you drop off. Prior notice helps us get ready.

Who do we contact and how?
You can email us your questions from the contact us page or call 248-437-9790 and we will respond on an Active Faith work day. (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.).
